East Hill may I redeem: Marinoni pix

So I've just finally registered after untold years of lurking and I have been informed all would be forgiven if I posted some pix of my 89 Marinoni special. While a great fan of stock classics, the nitto stem and mustache bars as well as the 13-28 tooth shimano freewheel make her a little more comfy for my longish and terribly hilly Sundays. Perhaps I won't be forgiven for the Rivendell speedblend 28 mm Panaracers but she rides so beautifully on these. Otherwise it's Campy Chorus all around. I've had this three years now and for a moment this winter, I contemplated selling when I picked up my 91 Greg Lemond Maillot Jaune. Tragedy dodged, I'll be selling the GL soon.

Myself, Cyclotoine and a few others here are big Marinoni fans. They are simply fantastic bicycles.
I like the moustache bars, which is something that I've never seen on a Marinoni. I have them on both my geared and fixed commuters - aside from obviously offering different hand positions, they're great when you want to get out of the saddle and mash up hills.
Nice!

Welcome, you have the ultimate late 80s bicycle. I love Marinonis and I own two though I have had many others pass through my hands they were never the right size or they were not specials. I would never part with that bike it I were you. Are the fork crown and downtube cutouts Ms or Fleur de Lis? This bike fit in the era where there were a few Fleur de Lis bikes, I had a 1988 with first gen chorus in 58cm with the fleur de lis, I wanted it to be a 62 SO BAD! I had to sell the frame and keep the parts, the bike was even put together by Marinoni and I was the one to take it apart. Oh well C'est la vie.

Edit: I can see the M (DUH!) I have been doing that a lot lately, I think I'm losing it.

Sorry, haven't mastered shooting the tires in motion in a way that illustrates the blend effectively. Jeez, I tried for at least FIVE minutes!! Suspect I'll get the shutter speed right when I'm more relaxed and can devote more meaningful time. I am so glad I subscribed and I love that there are nice people with superb tastes here. Thanks for the great words, I'll not be parting with this Special any time soon.

I've got a SpeedBlend 28 on the rear of a bike. I just fits, and I love the ride and the durability.
