$15 Bridgestone Kabuki?

A local junk shop has one of these. the shifters are both on one side of the downtube, Suntour "Indexed". I figure that puts it about 1985? Steel wheels.
I don't really need it but it's close to my size. I'd get it for some one if they had to have it.

I have one of these. It has alloy Araya wheels, and alloy hubs, suntour "BL" group, with clamp-on downtube shifters. Straight-gauge cro-mo tubes, forged drops. Really a nice machine that I am having a hard time warming up to (beautiful quill pedals that are too narrow for my no-clips-around-town-riding habits, beautiful stem that has too much reach, evil saddle that is evil ... fix these and maybe I will warm up).

Perhaps the niceness of the kabuki varied over model years. What sort of components are on this one? What's the paint/rust situation?

It would be so hard for me to turn down an interesting or decent bike, even with steel wheels, for $15. You show incredible restraint.

It wasn't so much the money as it was the 20something other bikes in the basement. It needs a tune up and the components weren't special. The paint was sorta faded too. If one of my Craigslist bikes goes soon, I'll definately get it.
