question about the Brooks Imperials
I'm getting the narrow model how much narrower is it than a regular B-17? Does anyone have a narrow B-17 and if so what sort of riding is it best suited for?

I'm getting a B-17N as well. You can find the lengths and widths on the Bicycling Classics website, and possibly on the Brooks site itself.
The N is usually for people riding in a more aggressive position, and for people with narrower sitbone spacing, who like a narrower saddle. I think my Pro is too wide, and I use a Specialized Alias 143 (medium for them) normally. I don't think a B-17 would work on any of my bikes.

The standard B17 (and Champion) saddles are 170x280 mm
the B17 N are 152x280 mm. The swallow saddles are also 152mm wide but
are 288mm long.
