Raleigh Sprite Mixte
I found this bicycle poking out of the garbage pile at my old apartment. At first I saw just some 27" wheels and decided to investigate so I could obtain some spare parts for my 10 speed.
I was shocked to find a beautiful Raleigh Sprite in need of some parts and TLC.
The frame was a little small for me, but fits my girlfriend so I spent the last year rebuilding it. Since this photo was taken I've changed out the seat to a more comfortable one that she bought last year.
I took a fair bit of time stripping it down and restoring the metal since it's such a pretty bike and the components where in great condition. I'm still new to the whole restoration process, and I'll post some more pics if I can.
It's geared as a 5-speed and rides wonderfully - I almost wish it fit me.

Can't seem to bring up the pic of your sprite mixte, but just found one myself. Covered with dust
in a thrift for $25, i couldn't believe it in was totally unridden condition. It's a great ride, nothing
presumptuous, just a simple 5 spd that goes fast in high and climbs easy in low, glides like a gull.
These bikes are under-rated, very durable and reliable without all the extraneous stuff to break
on 'modern hi-tech' bikes.
