Masi Nuovo Strada help with ID
I've got a SLX/SP Masi with the original chrome fork with the M on the crown. From what I understand it is not exactly the most sought after of the Masi family bikes.
Bottom bracket has the Cineli name stamed and the M cut out on the center of the shell. The serial number is stamped 64 on the left side. Across the right it says 6 0 99
It has American/Italian flags/white blue paint. Engraved rear masi rear seat stays. My thoughts are that it is an mid 80's California bike.
An archived thread said "Nuovo Strada are crap." I know it is not a real Masi but it sure as hell is nice frame. I paid 250$ the rear drop out had been re-welded. It has columbus rear drops. I think the bike was ridden very hard for a long time. It has one serious rust spot on the top tube underneath from sweat.
I'm not quite sure I got a spectacular deal but the frame still runs solid. Aside from one rust spot the paint is in good shape for being 20 years old.

Bottom of the Masi range, but I'd be surprised if anyone really said they're "crap." Just price-point models with little connection to the Masi atelier under the Vigorelli. Note that the spelling is "Nuova Strada," by the way. What "help with ID" is it that you're looking for? Should be a nice-riding bike.
