Tell me all you can about this:
Giant RS-920
I will take any info, links, etc. I haven't heard back from the owner re: components, size, etc.
920 is indicative of the chromoly right? So it may be smooth like my wife's trek 930 commuting conversion?
Thanks.

Can't tell you much about it other than at the current price you can't go wrong.

I don't have much to offer, but the stem shifters and suicide brake levers make me think it's older than 1990.

I don't think you can compare this to a trek in any way. The number are completely arbitrary, they're like a model name. Based on the components (quick glance at pictures) I would say it's a toss up on frame material. I would guess maybe chromoly main frame, hi-ten stays? Either way it's probably solid and well built. Giant has always made a decent bicycle.

If you search the bikeforums for giant rs920 it gives 2 hits. The first one indicates that the frame is hi-ten steel, not cromoly and would have lower end Suntour components. The one in the Ebay listing might be a bit different, but probably safer to assume it is like the one from the previous post.
Even so, if the price stays low it would still be worth picking up. Those are the kinds of bikes that are $20 Ebay local pick up sales and $80-120 CL sales.
