1972 Ladies Schwinn Varisty re-do DONE!

It was last October just before Halloween I decided to rescue wife's bike from the backyard elements where it sat for the past 8 years at least. It was a lemon yellow ladies Schwinn Varsity. Today, June 1, I finally finished this little project. Some pics of the final are attached. I stripped it to the metal and repainted. I cleaned, serviced, and polished all the components. The owner no longer cared for drop-down bars so I put some old Jaguar bars on and then had to replace the brake levers as well. I swapped out the steel wheels for some new alloy ones. The bike looks pretty nice, rolls real smooth, and still ............. it is a Varsity! So ... here's to all you folks who helped me through. Thank you for your encouragement, advice, parts, leads information. Pastor Bob - Brew - John E - THE DECAL MAN! - Hyper-Performance - various Ebay sellers - and The Cycle Cave in Albuquerque, NM! Thank you ALL and if I forgot you -- you know who your are!

Very nice, your effort shows up in spades.

A small suggestion though - those cables/housings look a wee bit too long.

Well the Mrs. is still the owner of course. And yea I did go a little extra on the cables. Tough noogies now though!
