Bianchi 1980 Japanese Road Bike?
Hi,
I'm planning on buying a road bike and was wondering if anyone here can give me some advice about this posting on craigslist for a Bianchi 1980s Japanese road bike. Here's the link: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/bik/704057542.html
I want to know if it's a good deal or not.
Thanks in advance!

I think sheldon brown's site has a page about what to look at when buying a used bike...

It's a killer price in the bay area, regardless of condition.
If you don't jump on it NOW, it will be gone before you can blink an eye. The only question is whether it fits you. If it does fit, and if you like it, jump on it.

Go for it. I have a Bianchi with Ishiwata tubes made in Japan. It rides like a dream and I got it for way more than that price but then again I'm here in Hawaii so bikes cost more.

Bianchi
I had a Japanese Bianchi Brava from '88 or '89 with Ishiwata tubing and it was an amazing ride. In fact, it rode as nicely or better then the Italian Bianchi frames I test rode at the same shop (Peter Rich's Velo Sport in Berkeley). It's the only bike I regret selling, but I did get to put several thousand miles on it during the five years I had it. Go for it if it's still for sale.
