A question for the Vintage road bike guys.

I just recently purchased a used road bike that I had planed on making a cool fixed gear bike. I have asked a few people what the bike may be but no one has any answers, so was hoping someone on here could help me out before I start taking brake and derailer guides off and it is permanently ruined.

DUC_TAPE, I think you accidentally posted another thread when adding the two new photos. Do add them to the existing thread though. Might give some additional insight.

The vintage gods will place a hex on you if you turn this one into a "fixie" fixed or similar.

Brazed on brake studs indicate a number of French possibilities, as do the Simplex rear dropouts.

Hack up (modify) a less interesting frame.

Send it to me! I'll send you back a far less interesting frame that you can hack away on!!
