    Other tanks that work with Schwinn Phantom types?

    I saw a Shelby Airflow 52 tank of eBay that just expired without a bid at $75 and if I had been able to spent it on that it would be MINE now...it looks like it could be used...

    I could really use some advice on this. The lights need a battery holder and the norn has to go there too.

    My Schwinn is a '95 Cruiser SS and thanks.

    For several years Schwinn offered these and actively marketed them. They were reasonably priced, too. You might check with a Schwinn LBS andsee if they can still be ordered.

    This page is from a 2000 catalog.

    ~~~snip
    I can find several "Phantom/Jaguar" tanks on bike sites and eBay. Usually $99 and all the people I talk to say they are expensive for any bike. While I respect all that, I'm almost to the point of building my own and have to wonder what's rare about some tanks? The Shelby is rare but wasn't it built by Schwinn in this case and it's the closest to what I want and why have lights mounted and nothing to put batteries in?
    nope if you bought the shelby tank you would have wasted your money. You need to buy one of those reproduction tanks. You can get them a lot cheaper
