Yes, opoefiets is what people abroad call 'Dutch bikes'. In Holland there are more bikes than people. Roadbikes represent a relatively small fraction, but they are still very numerous. Roadracing is a very popular sport. Many people are doing it. There is interesting history, people, brands and more. I do not think it has to be ignored as the utilitarian bikes outnumber the roadbikes.Quote:

I do not oppose against utilitarian 'Dutch bikes' in this topic or elsewhere on the forums. I do not see a NA fixation for the bikes how you describe, as compared to for example Italian bikes the covering is very modest and in my perception by a limited selection of people.Quote:
