Cannondale Fair Price?

This looks just like my old cannondale, which I wish I kept. Heck it might be the same one, he's says he got it used at about the time I sold mine. How many can there be in my town?

What's a fair price for this? I seems good working condition, fair visual condition (lots of scratched paint) and probably lots of miles.

Well, at the local MegloBike Mart that has a small "used" bike section, you're gonna dish out $400 for it at the very least. The average CL Cannondale of similar ilk seems to follow that price range as well in my area.

I would take cash and offer the lowest offer you can keep a straight face with. Ya never know.

Without having brifters that price seems fair to me.

There was a 3.0 that needed heavy clean up, lube, etc. and had the wrong bars, that sold for $100 in Raleigh, but it was sold in a few hours. Another 3.0 went up for over $200 (can't remember the exact price), it took a while but it sold (no repeat listing).
IMHO, I'd see if he will take a little less, depends on how clean the bike is, does it need repairs, tires, etc and how bad you want it. That price is what I would call the top end for that bike in your area.

Here in the Philadelphia market, that bike would fetch $250.00 to $300.00 if it was in ready to ride condition and didn't need any new parts or tuning. (And the paint was good.)

Cannondales are hot in Philly right now.

I bought a 85 SR300 in excellent shape other than needing a tune up, frame paint is beautiful, I paid 250 the guy was asking 275. Which in the craigslist market is fair.

And I paid $25 each for my two '85 SR300s in unused condition. Granted they were the bottom of the racing line in '85 but it all depends on your location and who is doing the selling.
