The only models with the camelback frame were the Speedster, the smallest frame size (17") Varsity, and the 24" wheel Collegiate.

Here's the 1979 24" wheel Collegiate. If your bike is a 17" frame (center of crank to top of seat tube), it's probably a Varsity since it appears to have a front derailleur.

Here's the 1977 Varsity Sport. Note the text in the red box, "Schwinn Varsity Sport - 17" frame (Camelback design)".

Scooper they also made a 5 speed Collegiate in the camel back style frame. My fake 26 inch Manta Ray started life as a 26 inch wheel 17 inch frame Collegiate. I believe this was a 1970 frame. Roger
