Simple economics-supply and demand. There are not many bikes out there of this vintage and in this condition anymore. Looks beautiful. Is it worth $500 ? Maybe for the right person it is. Someone else will buy a basic used Raleigh 3 speed for $50 to $75.

How can you so definitely say it is not a Corvette? The chain guard is the typical type for early Corvettes.

A Corvette from my minimal research was typically like the other middleweights of the era except that it had no tank, stainless fenders and usually no rear rack... the rear rack could have been added.

Edit... Never mind, I just read the part about the bike originally being a Tiger and original painted fenders... I did notice the rear reflector looked like early 60's style (and goes for good money if it is in good shape).
