Decals: late 70s / early 80s Motobecane

Do you want to restore your decals?

My decals have been painted over. In the interest of restoring them at some point I contacted the guy who sells reproduction decals on eBay. He does not currently offer this era of Moto decals but he said he would make them if he could get these photographs taken (I can't because mine are under paint):

If you want to assist in this process, what I need are pictures that have a
mm ruler alongside the decal with pictures that are square-on. Also, some
measurements where the decal goes around the tube from a flexible tape.
Also, make sure your lighting is nice and even (do them outside, not in direct sunlight).

If someone does this it would be great! Here is an example of the style I am looking for:

Sorry, but my Moto is later, with slightly different type. Are these what you're looking for?
https://cgi.ebay.com/Motobecane-full-...713.m153.l1262
If not, then PM bikeforums member JRrestore, he does custom repro vinyl, too. But he'd need the same photo info.

I think those are earlier, and that seller is the guy I contacted. Good to know thanks for the info.

I will look when I get home, I have 2 Mobys. One I know is earlier the other should be of about the correct vintage. What model do you have? IIRC both of mine are Nomades.

I have a Jubile Sport, but the design is the same for all models (except for the top tube, of course, which I don't care about as much).

Also, could you post a pic of your headbadge? I'd like to replace mine but I don't know what they look like on this vintage.

Is it this:

Or this:

Well you are sort of on the cusp between the top badge (circular brass) and the bottom one (square plastic). The transition was around 1980 and was phased through the model line. The middle one was only used on the top model back in the 70's.. the Champion Team.

I would use the brass badge... I think it is the best looking...

The very bottom elongated plastic badge that you added to your post newdewt was what was used before the circular brass badge. But then again I also have a model with a simiar badge that is just a decal...

And also just to mix it up even more there was this badge... but I think it was Europe only...

I checked none of mine have the graphics that the OP was looking for. BUT one has the round brass colored badge the other, which I believe to be a bit newer has the round badge, but it is silver/aluminum rather than brass colored...go figure.

Here is a 78 Gran Jubile. Is that what you're looking for? I can take better pics but it probably won't be until the end of the week.

Nope, just like top506's up there with the parallelograms getting smaller as they repeat.
