Raleigh Technium what year?

I am trying to find out what year I have. Its has Technium and prestige decals on the frame has 700c wheels and shimano shifters and brakes. the frame is black and the decals are chrome looking. front fork is black as well.

ps got the bike for 5 bucks from a friend who paid 5 bucks at a garage sale. i bought a new front derailer and innertube for the back wheel. its cogs need replacing eventually.

:update pictures

techniums were around from mid-80's to mid-90's, bonded aluminum (more rarely steel) glued to internal lugs. They hit the market shortly after American Raleigh came into being (about 1984). They sported the regular Raleigh names: Grand Prix, Prestige, Team, etc. We'll be needing to see some pictures to help get the year and model correct.

5 bucks is a good deal, btw.

I will try to get some pictures up soon. I had hoped by the color it would be easy to figure out. I looked for some time and only a few years of the technium line I could find in internet searchs. I will have a decent bike for the limited riding i do for the money i put into it.

look at the serial number on the bottom of the frame, I am under the impression that the 2nd and 5th numbers are the year, I could be wrong though....if anyone agrees or disagrees let me know...
