Finishing a Giordana SLX

Finally getting around to finishing a Giordana SLX 130 mm rear spacing. Have Athena crankset and rear derailleur. Need rear wheel ( freehub)and shifters and brakes. I would like to have the option of indexed shifting, and am considering something like the Dura-Ace bar-end shifters. This would restrict me to the non-Campy rear wheel I understand, but would it work with the Athena rear derailleur, or should I stick to all campy for rear wheel, cassette and shifters? Thankyou.

Sounds like a nice build. I've always liked Giordanas. 8 speed I presume? I have the same setup, and I run a pair of Campy downtube shifters that have the option of being 8-speed indexed. I sort of doubt Shimano bar ends would index with that derailleur, but I've never tried it.

I've got a new old stock pair of Athena hubs if you're interested. 8-speed freehub, with 130mm spacing.

Nice to hear from you Stripes. Yes, I am interested in the two hubs, can you PM me with the am't plus shipping to R0J1N0 Canada. As to the 8-speed thing, I don't know what the rear derailleur is spec-wise. It is an imaculate unit, that I bought some time ago. Kind of pointy at the bottom, white pulleys. Just based on the Athena name, is there any place to check on the cassette range and indexing capability? Thanks
