Help needed with my Gazelle Champion Mondial

My dad gave me a Gazelle Champion Mondial AA special frame from Rene Pijnen
it's original handmade and I haven't got an idea if it's a good bike of if it's worth something. So I hoped that any of you, bikers, could please help me and inform
thank you in advance from a dutch girl

Lots of Gazelle riders in here. Cuda2K has several. I think they are quite nice and well worth saving. I have a feeling others will agree.

Hallo Daniele

Yes its a valuable bike. Rene Pijnen was a national champion, and rode with
Joop Zoetemelk. That is some serious provenance for a race bike.
Does your bike have Rene's name on it anywhere? and before East Hill
asks we need pictures.
Gazelle Champion Mondial AA special was the top of the line frame, even
run of the mill versions sell for a good deal on Marktplaats. One with the
provenance of yours would be even more so.

Groete,
Marty

...and you loved it that much that you immediately put the ''origineel handwerk fiets van Rene Pijnen'' up for sale.

Spotted it. Nice one.

Value? You will not be able to retire on it. Sell it to someone who really appreciates.

Good catch, I am way too naive on these things generally.

yah, I posted before I found the m'plaats advert.
it's a nice bike, owned by one of the all time great six day racers, olympic champion and
winner of more than a few Vuelta stages.
shame to sell it really.

I see that alot on M'plaats. I think its actually referring to the tire size, i.e. Conti tires use 28inch as
size.

good looking Gazelle. Some gentle polish on the paint and a wax job will do wonders to bringing back the shine, otherwise looks like it just needs some general TLC.
