just bought a schwinn sprint....

for $12.... its pretty beat up. I plan on fixing it up and setting it up as a single speed with a flip-flop hub for when i feel like riding fixed.

would this wheelset be okay?

this is my first roadbike BTW...i was going to get a Motobecane Messenger from BD but i saw this bike today and figured $12 wasn't that bad. to get it ride ready i guess all i have to do is replace the brakes so i don't die and definitely the tires/innertube.

so uh...any tips for a newb

Sum rims get high marks from reviews I've seen. And DT spokes are top-of-the-line. I'm not aware of this hub, though. I'd go hunt up some reviews (Google) to be sure. Other than that - looks really nice, and it's in the proper 27" for your Schwinn. Price is good as well.
