ebay screen name exchange?
I was thinking...maybe could exchange our ebay screen names to keep each other from running up the price of the goods? It could lead to some back door dealing as well which in turn could save on ebay fees.

Mine is close enough... I forget if it is a hyphen or underscore instead of the space, but it is basically Little Darwin.

Mine is the same......I would offer any C&V regular a discount. Same with Craigslist.

<= same as username. Will likely be posting some things soon but will likely run them through the BF's marketplace first.
on a similar subject: https://www.velobase.com/SellerList.aspx shows a list of ebay sellers who have authorized me to use their ebay auction photos on VeloBase.com. I'm sure a number of them are also BF's members.

I've checked my hidden name by not signing in. I don't know if they change it with each auction but I was ID'd as p....a.

My ebay rant for today:
Bidders identity are now kept secret, sometimes I can figure it out by the feedback number and the first and last letter. One used to be able to review the field, less snipers, very well. To protect bidders they said... sure buddy, I have a bridge for sale too. The winner is revealed, what's the logic there?
If one lives in the great state of California, where ebay is based, and you win a bid from a power seller who resides in California (might apply to all California sellers) ebay NOW will collect the sales tax for them at no cost to them, only the buyer. Just happened to me. In the future, discount California sellers bids by the sales tax hit.
Moral of the story, buy from out of state sellers. I don't know about other sales tax states when its an intrastate transaction.
ebay is building their demise, (or at least a crack to penetrate their armor) via the paypal obligation where they want the paypal way and make it difficult to ask for payment otherwise, can you say additional seller's fees any louder?
The conclusion, short ebay stock, just when the economy will push folk to selling that way for extra cash, they try and crank up the short tern revenue stream.
Oh, yeah, they now own 20% of craigslist.

Mine's the same as my user name too, but it probably won't help most of the time. In four years I've only once found a US seller willing to post any item that I was interested in to the UK. There's a big old world of eager buyers out there chaps, what's the problem? It's easier to buy things from Hong Kong and New Zealand than from the US.

Cool stuff and no reserve! Shame you don't ship outside the States. Good luck with your auctions.

I generally make exceptions for out of the U.S. shipping if someone asks, because if they ask they aren't idiots or jerking me around (ebay is a battle ground).

I am a sniper, so my name will never show up early. Why give your competition a chance to outbid you? I also sell occasionally.
