C-Record Brake Levers - Sprung or not?
I have a pair of used C-Record levers that I want to sell, so I was wondering if they were built with a return spring or not.
If they were, the springs in mine must be broken because there is no return action (with the levers off the bike). If not, then great!
Also - how much would you guys be willing to pay for obviously used, but in good shape levers like these with fairly clean white hoods?
I'm not really sure where to start pricewise. And no, I won't send them to you for free
Thanks,
WW

Not sure, but I dont think C-Record brake levers had any return springs. I have a set of campy 'Athena' levers that are a lot like them from that era and they dont have any springs either.
That said, I've seen very good C-Record levers sell on ebay for upwards of a hundred bucks.

Campagnolo in fact has always had the return spring in the smal shift lever, even my 2006 ergo power levers technically do not have a return spring in the lever blade itself. It's just the smaller shifting paddle which does. Campagnolo calipers have always had really strong springs (often to the distaste of some riders whose hand get sore) so I guess they never saw the need for them?
