Paramount?
This is my paramount that I inherited from my late father. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this bike as I'm virtually clueless. I'm mostly just wondering what year it is from. It's been sitting in my basement for at least 6 years and now I'm really regretting not pulling it out all this time.
[edit] If you want/need a better pic I can try but I'm really bad at taking pictures.

Your Dad left you a very nice bike, built in Asia (usually Japan by Panasonic) for Schwinn. It was designed by the Paramount group in Waterford, WI. The "Series" Paramounts were more affordable then the US built Paramounts. Nonetheless, they were very nice bikes.
There should be a serial number, most likely under the BB, or on the headtube under the "P." Post that number and it will help us to decipher the date. Generally they are from the late '80s through early '90s.
Welcome to C&V and don't hesitate to ask questions!

I'm not up on the "Series" Paramounts the way others are. My guess might be that "1" equates to 1991 and the "c" equates to March. But I could be wrong. What type of components are installed?

That catalog scan lists "Shimano RX-100" components...what is that? I've never heard of a Shimano groupset named that.
