Bikes: I have cut my stable down to one bike in hopes to make room for a roadie.

Ok, so I was cleaning out a garage last week and found a bottle of Bondo Rust Remover that had to be at the very least twenty years old. The bottle has a copy right of 1979 on it. However, it was unopened, so I decided to experiment with it. I had a really rusted frame that was just scrap. I applied a little to the surface of the frame, following the instructions, waited like five minutes, rinsed it, and bygolly it was clean bare, shiny goodness.
Now, I dunno if its just the age of the bottle or if a new bottle works this well, but I absolutely love this stuff for removing rust. It seems to clean up rust and not pit or damage the metal at all. I wanna know if anyone else has used this stuff with the same results or if they get better results with new stuff, or if it does actually damage the metal?

I have never used Bondo Rust Remover. I Googled it and found a couple of user references. Seems like metal etching can be an issue. I recommend using it with caution.
