Any Colnago buffs care to advise?

I came across this frame on ebay:

https://cgi.ebay.com/COLNAGO-MASTER-V...:B:SRCH:US:101

I'm really interested because I rarely come across high-end vintage frame that has my size.

I know little about old Colnago frames and their average going price so I'm not too confident with judging how much I should be willing to pay for them.

Can anybody tell me the year of this frame and advise me further on whether I should consider this frame?

For your information (I can't advise on the price), the seller from just outside Budapest and I did business before on a mint set of 1983 Modolo brakes. He's honest and fast shipping. Good guy. He has lots of fine, older equipment. And new stuff too. Here's his website:

www.matuzmaster.hu

Oh yeah - his English is quite good. No need to use hand gestures over the internet.

Any idea why he does auctions in GBP rather than some other currency?

Price wise, I think that frame will go a around $650-700 because of the chrome lugs, but maybe more because of the small size. I sold a Colnago superissimo for $550 that did not have the chrome lugs. It too had some that Gilco type tubing on it. Mine was in great shape and it had the fork with the straight blades. Mind that I'm only guessing and I'm basing it off what the Colnagos I've sold have gone for. Good luck if you you decide to bid.

I'd imagine it's because a lot of British cyclists buy from this seller (he offers items that are getting really hard to find in the UK in good condition if you're willing to pay the appropriate price) and the pound (normally!) gives a stronger and more stable exchange rate in Eastern Europe than the Euro & US dollar. However, at present he's probably just as confused by the current exchange rates as the rest of us!
