Info on older GT Interceptor BMX bike??

I didn't have any luck on the BMX page, so I'm reposting this here:

I just salvaged an older GT Interceptor from the trash, and I'm trying to find out some info on it. I think it is about 10 to 15 years old, maybe made in USA before GT was sold / bought out?? Serial # begins with YC. Bike is chrome-finish 4130 CrMo tubing w/ large winged GT decal on main tube; one piece crank w/ GT logo pedals; Shimano freewheel; Aluminum rims w/ original 20 X 1.75 skinny knobby tires; center-pull cantilever rear brake; skinny hard plastic seat. I'm not looking at the bike right now and that's about all I can remember; sorry no picture. Can anyone tell me something about this bike?

i agree....the interceptor was an average 80s/90s bmx. it was nothing special, but it wasnt crap. its a good find in my opinion.

I'd have to agree, it seems like a pretty nice bike but nothing extraordinary. I'm mostly curious whether it was made in the USA or not. It has a label that says Santa Ana California, but no "made in" label. And the front badge on the headset tube is missing...

Try VintageBMX.com, but be prepared for the inevitable maoning if it's too new and not considered "old School"

There are also tons of good links on that site which should direct you to the right place.

Made in the U.S.A. The Dyno's were the over seas version of the GT.
