Green Brooks Pro?

Does Brooks still make the green Pro? Ive been looking but havnt found one? I looked on the their site and they dont offer the Pro in green anymore? I ask this as I have someone interested in mine, they want to trade there Swift for my green Pro, but I dont want to trade it if its going to be a collectable saddle Not to mention that it looks SWEET on my bike

I thought the B-17 was the one that came in green. Never mind.

I don't even see the standard Professional in the online catalog. Yes, the Team professional is cooler, but yikes!

Collector's item or not, I can't imagine a bicycle I'd think that would look "right" on. I realize it's personal taste, but I just don't get that one.

It's a Brooks what's not to love? If I had an Emerald Green bike I'd be reaching for one also. As it is if if I didn't have a Swift on my '88 Sirrus I might consider it as the back half of the bike is Aqua which is greenish blue.

I didn't mean to put anyone off. It doesn't look out of place with the yellow bike, but if I was going to put a green saddle on, I'd want to color coordinate with the bar tape - and it's tough to find bar tape that goes with that color. The key point is obviously personal tastes. I guess I could overlook it by noting to myself that I'm not looking at the saddle while I'm riding, and if I'm riding a Brooks, I have no reason to even think about it.

If your looking at the saddle while riding then you have some "unique" anatomy!

I just wrapped my handlebars with brand-new Brooks green-leather tape. So they must still offer the seat with that color.

I believe that this is the very same saddle. It really wasn't a good match with the Trek paint. The brown leather under the green dye gives the saddle an olive green color.

I looked on Google and found this B-17 with the big rivets like the Professional.

It's not a shade of green I can see, but the web page says it's green.

Why someone would want a saddle in a color I can't see, I can't imagine, but I s'pose it's not my problem.

Yeah, thats the same with my green Pro, its green only when its in the light? Like sunlight, camara flash and such. The rivets on the Pro are MUCH bigger and supposedly hammered rivets.

Hello ilikebikes,

I searched high and low for one of those saddles
with no luck---yet. The green is pretty neat, in that
after folks check it out a bit just about always say
"Is that seat green?". Hope Santa knows I want one.

Cheers.

Hmmmm? Take a look at the second pic I posted, it was taken without a flash, notice that it does indeed look black, while the other pics that were taken with the flash make the green stand out.

my green B17 looks great on my burgundy 1982 kuwahara touring bike. Much better than the honey saddle it replaced. trouble is matching the grips...

Hmmm, color/contrast check:

What width is the green Pro? How does the width compare to a standard B17?

The Timberlin has different bars now and a different seat and different tires and different other stuff, sort of a work in progress.

I need to dig thru some stuff this weekend and find the old leather track saddle and see what shape it's in.

Maybe I should just stick with standard black or brown saddles.... just looking at the pond, not fishing just yet, just thinking about it and wondering if I have the right bait at home for a deal, and if I could live with the deal, I like the larger rivets and the look of the Brooks Pro, that green though I'm don't know about, maybe, don't know, hmmm, off to think some.....
= = = = =
edit: I did a little quick copy and paste and printout and cutout and tape and overlayed the green Brooks onto a printed out pic of the Timberlin, it could work, dang, if anybody wants me this weekend I'll be digging in the closets for trade stuff.
