I can empathize with the OP. We have one guy here on Chicago CL who has a bunch of bikes and he runs an ad for each every day. What's worse is he has these generic/inaccurate descriptions that he changes slightly each day to skirt CL's spam police. Won't tell you the make or model, always has artfully applied tape covering up something on his frames. Something fishy going on here.

The CL ads that I dislike are the ones that don't ID the brand. They just say something like "Japanese made bike" or "has French made components".

There's a guy here in Milwaukee who does the same. The bikes are mostly OK and the prices are low, so he gets a pass I suppose. Sent a friend there with a not-too-bad bike I found in the trash; he came back with a real piece o' trash that wasn't even rideable that he'd paid a lot of money PLUS the almost-good bike I'd found for him. I advised him to ask for his money back, and the guy did refund him without complaint. So I'm a little leery of sending anyone else there but overall looks OK so I let it go. Irritating to see the same low-end stuff reappear every few days. I saw something about Craigslist working on a new policy, we'll see.
