Miyata Alfrex

I'm new here and I was hoping someone could shed some light on a Miyata frame I just saw on ebay.

I have a 1989 Miyata 914 which I'm considering selling, but I just saw this Miyata Alfrex Carbon frame and fork on ebay and am now thinking I might just use the parts off of the 914 and build me a carbon fiber version of my old bike...even though $700 seems steep for a frame that I've never heard of.

I worked for a Bike Shop that sold Miyata, Nishiki and Giant Bikes for about 4 years while attending college 1989-1993, but don't ever remember seeing an "Alfrex". Can anyone help out????

Matt

IIRC it was a Japan market marketing thing.
