Seeking 69cm, or greater, bike or frame

Hi,
I am seeking a 69cm, c-c, bike or frame. These are usually made of steel alloy.
I put this request up once or twice a year, 'cause nobody reads old threads!
If you are not sure how to measure c-c (center to center), please, email me.
If you have such a bicycle, frame or frameset, please, send me a PM or an email.

If you are about to reply concerning my personal attributes, go away.
If you are about to reply concerning my suitability for such a bicycle, go away.

If you will PM me I can connect you with someone who has a bike you might be interested in.

It's a 68 cm Fuji, I believe I recall correctly. Not sure the model.

Cheers

Big Fuji...

I have a 67cm(c-c) steel Fuji from the seventies I believe. The frame is a Grand Tourer model and in pretty good shape although there is a small dent in the top tube that could be easily covered up with a clamp on brake cable. No brake cable or shifter braze-ons, Suntour drops and silver in color. There is also a head badge. I have no need for this frame set and would entertain selling it or even trading it for something I need.

He's not trolling. He's been searching for this for quite a while now. We've had a couple good chats via PM about other topics. He's a good man who's having a really tough time scratching his vintage bike itch.

Good luck friend!

69cm Medici

Hey,
Thanks for the info!
Problem: I'm in Baltimore and I gotta convince the guy to take it to the LBS and ship it.
He also has a reserve on it; it's a custom build - probably wants his original investment out of it - $$.

Still here. I'll watch it for a week or two, then depart. I get hecklers that want to talk about my legs, my height and the other side of the moon. Aauurrgghh . . .
I get some tips; folks also don't read well 69cm is bigger than 67 or 68. I already have two 67.5cm, c-c, Fujis; I don't need another. Thanks for asking.

Checked it out - thanks. The dude will, absolutely NOT ship the bike. Nor will he use PayPal.
Larry B., of Mt. Airy Bikes, says this one will reach four figures. A bit much for me.

And thus ends today's math lesson.

Seriously though, I will keep you in mind if I ever run across a very large frame, and search for this thread.

Hey,
You won't see repeats of this thread anymore.
I finally ran into someone, Marty, who gave me a serious lead: a 69cm (70cm?) Dutch Gazelle.
Thanks to Marty, Freek & Hans who have helped me acquire this gem.
Here is a look at it:

Too funny! The old threads are bumped up, and they are just what you said:

"Here is a 67", "Dude, how tall are you?", "Here is a 66", "You should be able to ride a 65"...

It sounds like you got what you wanted. Enjoy.
