    Marinoni--when did Guiseppe stop making lugged frames?

    Although I'm sure they're still great bikes, the traditionalist in me is a little sad to see Marinoni's new chromoly frames are tig-welded with sloping top-tubes.

    (Not that I'm opposed to ALL tig-welded frames:

    )

    It just feels given Marinoni's history that something has been lost.

    When did Guiseppe stop making lugged frames? (Was it around the same time he started offering Ti and Carbon rides?)

    Are the new bikes still built in Quebec?

    I know that in 2000 they came up with an Al frame for the first time so somewhere around that time (early 2000s) I guess.

    Their Al, Ti and steel frames are still made in their shop in Lachenaie. Not sure for the carbon. And Mr. Marinoni still brazes stuff on the steel frames. What's that picture?
