Head lamp on Vintage Raleigh Sprite

So I was wondering, back in the 1970's, did the Raleigh Sprite come with a head lamp and if so, what brand? A lot of these bikes seem to have a Sturmey-Archer head lamp. Was this an add-on?

I don't see it as an OEM part in the Raleigh catalogs that are online, and my guess is that the most likely add on from that era would have been a Union bottle generator w/ head and tail lamps.

Or you can use one of those square lights (uses two "D" batteries) that attach to the lamp bracket that looks like this...

if you have one, of course.

My Sprite 10 speed came with Sturmey Archer front and rear lights powered by a SA Dynohub on the front.

Depends on the model and whether someone paid for an upgrade to the dyno hub or purchased an aftermarket set. SA did make(or at least branded) a sidewall generator set, but AFAIK it was not sold in great numbers in the USA. Union, Soubitez and Sanyo were the more common ones.

I do have the light mounting bracket and I recently acquired the SA dynohub and lights. Thanks to all who replied.
