I had a fella stop by that wanted me to refurbish his Centurion Elite RS. He bought this bike new and used to ride quite a bit and rode rollers in the winter, then life and family happened and he stopped riding. Last week he had a heart attack at 45 yrs old. The doctors put in a stent and this Friday they plan to put in a second.( one day outpatient procedure - amazing! ) He obviously should have never stopped riding and he's anxious to get back in the saddle. Would like to keep this bike original but the rear rim is shot.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Just called up the fellow with the bike (it isn't here), asked him to tell me what the P/N is on his 7-speed freewheel. Probably a 6400 stuffed onto a bike with 6200 everywhere else.

If the innards are still good, he could drop his 7-speed innards into any SIS downtube lever body.

Perhaps I should have specified: The lever (minus the innards) are fine. It's the 6 pins on the indexing mechanism itself that have been chewed up.

I'll trade you my brand new Paramount AIR for your old crummy paramount. The AIR can be any size you want, weighs nothing, and goes as fast as it does in your imagination. I'll even pay shipping for both

Ha... Air sounds good about now. It has been hot and humid.. deal? I'll even chip in with some dehydrated water for your next ride!
It is a '79 P-10 frame and fork with badge, no chrome on lugs and needing paint. All straight and true. 25" and I ride 23". I want to stay with P-10 or 15. I'll post it in the trade threads as soon as I get some pictures later in the week.

Might have (depending on a pending set from the same source) a need to trade two, NOS left-hand Mafac cantilever brake arms for a pair of rights.

Also have a lone Mafac/ACS-stamped version, RH, that might be up for grabs as well.

Right now, I'd just like to put together a complete set.

ISO:

-Campagnolo high flange rear road hub, english threaded, 36h, preferably including QR.
-brooks leather bar tape, brown or black
-10speed campy chorus FD, braze-on style
-Bar-end shifters (suntour ratcheting would be nice)
-something interesting!

Have:

-Campagnolo Record high flange Track hub, 36h, bolt-on. The cups and cones are in good shape.
-Zeus 28h high flange track hub, 28h, bolt-on. Visually it is a match for the campy hub, but the only rim I can find that is available in both 36 and 28 hole is black open pros, which is a little pricey for the wheelset I was planning.
-have lots of other trade goodies, please ask if you'd like to know what.

EDIT: Desperately ISO a 700c columbus threaded fork for recessed brakes. Steer tube length should be at least 7 inches or 175mm

ISO: European track hubs or wheelset, preferably French, 25.4 seatpost, french stem/bar combos, old beat up 80s saddles. This is all going on a beater so no need for aesthetics.

Have: Shimano 600 tri-color crankset with very, very little wear, Suntour Cyclone 6000 RD, a set of Speedplay X2 pedals, cleats (300 miles on cleats and always covered), and coffee shop covers, and a Campy Athena 8 speed RD with some scratches, 56cm Miyata triple cross bike (splined, triple butted frame) sans wheels set up as 1x9 with drop bars and suntour barends.
