I've got a little Pug with a stripped pedal thread in the right crank arm. I might be able to Heli-coli it, but just in case, it's nice to have options.

I know, no real offense taken. I'm sorry to hear about your stripped thread, things like that make me quite sad. :( I reccomend you try to fix it, though, the more old parts we still have funtioning in the world, the better.

I need top tube brake housing clamps that affix the cable to the side of top tube, not the top, as is infinitely more common. In these clamps, the groove for the cable is 90 degrees from the clamp nut/bolt, rather than 180 degrees in the type that is much more common.

Stuff to trade, including money.

Fixing it might be tough as all the threads were pulled out, thus enlarging the hole quite a bit. I am however, cautiously optimistic. :)

Helicoil will work even if all the threads are gone and the end result will probably be stronger than the original threads.

thing is, I don't think Heli-coil® ever made one with the standard 9/16 x 20tpi pedal thread (it's not the standard coarse or fine thread for 9/16", but is bicycle-specific) however there ARE solid pedal INSERTS made (and in both RH and LH thread) that function like a coil insert...they just cost about 10X what a Heli does :o

it has a lot of paint damage and 2 dime sized dents, one minor one right above the s in serotta on the seattube and a deeper one on the backside of the headtube. frame checks out as a-ok to ride, no problems.

Looking for some brake calipers and levers to put on a 85 Trek 670.
The bike originally had a mix of Italian and Japanese parts but anything that works and looks decent would do.

I need both axle nuts and indicator rod/chain for a Fichtel & Sachs "Torpedo" Dreigang three-speed hub. I have a hub and a shifter but I need the cable and all the other parts that connect the shifter to the hub (except the bicycle; I have that).

I believe it dates to the 60's - 70's and the new Spectro parts will not fit. The parts resemble Sturmey Archer parts as far as I know, but the threads are different (of course).

Any leads appreciated!
