A suitable 59-60 (ctc) frame set for a 650b conversion. Ideally, I'm looking for a high end frame with tight brake clearances for 700c, accepting nutted brakes, somewhat relaxed geometry, definitely with braze-ons for fenders. Not to picky about nationality. French would be ideal, but open to any others (Japanese, English, American) as long as the tubing and construction is top end... condition not important, as this might be the ideal bike for a plain re-paint.

Because of the need for tight brake clearances and built for 700c, I'm guessing that an ideal frame would be late 70s or early 80s. Of course, if someone has a 650b frame that they'd like to trade, I'm open to that as well!

Have: Lots of nice older goodies. The parts bin is fairly flush. I'm sure that we could work something out....

Thanks!

Wow, what is that thing? It looks kind of like the two-pulley XC, kind of, but I'm guessing it's something else altogether.
I may get back to you about the VGT Luxe--it's just about my favorite derailleur, but I'm trying to match a Vx front in this particular application. Might be easier to change both.

Would anyone trade a 32-tooth Suntour Perfect cog for a 30? Mine is used but excellent--the 32 would have to be the same. It seems that 32s are somewhat scarce, so I'd be willing to throw in some other parts to make a deal happen.

A couple weeks ago I saw a Vx with hangar at a shop I occasionally volunteer at. I believe it was a GT but not sure. It caught my eye when I was digging through boxes of derailleurs. I can check to see if it is still there. It would need to be cleaned up. They usually ask $5 for derailleurs.

This is a long shot, but does anyone in the metro-Detroit area have a 22 inch (55cm) frame/fork they'd like to sell or trade? I'm not looking for anything too high end or special. I just discovered a crack in the frame I was going to build up so I guess it's back to the drawing board.
