That is a pretty Trek though.
Gotcha! Hey, no problem, you might be in luck after all this... my friend that I grew up with lives in Chapel Hill and has developed a love for C&V bikes. He knows I've been after a Schwinn Super Le Tour 12.2 for a long time, it was the bike my dad rode and I always loved the chrome, my friend sent me this the other day.

https://greensboro.craigslist.org/bik/4066227465.html

The 12.2 is $250 but the ad has been up for a few weeks so my friend was going to offer the guy $200 but after checking the shipping from Chapel Hill to SoCal was going to be almost $100. Those shipping costs just kill any good score!

My buddy in Chapel Hill has a cousin in Raleigh who is always sending him links to tall lugged road bikes (or frames) on Craigslist, my buddy is only looking at complete bikes but this one stood out as a good price.
(sorry, no photo)
https://raleigh.craigslist.org/bik/4073743786.html
Depending on what era and condition, this one could be a score! The guy was asking $50 but the ad has been up for a few weeks like the SLT 12.2, so you might be able to pick up this frame for cheap.

Happy hunting!

ISO 27.2 seatpost in decent shape and reasonably priced, something nicer than a Laprade but not mega high-end. Wanting polished aluminum...carbon, black, etc. is not of interest.

One bolt clamp preferred.

Superbe preferred but Gipiemme, Thompson, etc. are all worth considering.

EDIT: I grapped a Dura Ace from eBay at a decent price, would have preferred Superbe (since I'm building a Superbe bike), so I'd consider a swap for that.. Thanks for the offers.

Hey jdefran,

I have a 6 speed Suntour 13, 15, 17, 21, 26, & 32T freewheel if you find yourself in a pinch. The freewheel was NOS, I bought it off Ebay for a 1985 Stumpjumper I was restoring but I sold the project because the frame was a hair too big. The freewheel has a couple short test rides around the block and a 20 miles fire road ride, basically still in new condition aside from a few marks on a couple cogs. I can send you photos if you need them. I don't need any freewheels but we can work something out as we have previously.

Interested in a new Kalloy Uno?, it is the next tick up in quality from a LaPrade and it is one-bolt and silver. This is 350mm long and has just a little scratching at the bottom inch or so will be completely hidden in use (you might even cut the post down since it's so long, I often do with long ones like this).

Hi all. New to the forums, so forgive me if I'm in the wrong place. I'm just looking for some small parts sources and coming dry.

I'm looking for just one pair of screw-on pedal reflectors / housings from a set of old KKT "rat trap" style pedals, like those below:

I've got some random crap if this is a trade thread: 2 pairs old drop bars, some pretty rough MKS quill pedals, old Dia Compe road brake levers [2 sets], etc.

Thanks.

I'm looking for a pair of wingnuts for an English front hub, thread 5/16" x 26tpi (I think!). I want them to match this one:

In trade I could offer some wing nuts with French (=Metric) threads, Huret Luxe and the like. Or something else.

ISO: vintage handlebar end plugs 3/4" o.d., metal / cork or ??? No plastic, fancy color or bike brand logo needed, just something interesting, 1950ish, a little corrosion is fine. Could trade for a vintage pair of black genuine Velox (with center screws) or perhaps something else on your wish list. I had hoped to use the Velox but with the thick cork wrap and small bars, I just couldn't come to shave them. Thanks.

BTW- Rudi, thanks for the clamps and the trade on the way.

NEED: 1985ish Miyata Seven-Ten Fork, preferably red, OR any 57-58cm mid-eighties Japanese frame that originally came with the Suntour New Cyclone group and top mount shifter, so I can swap the group over...

HAVE: An early 1980's Shimano 600 Arabesque group with triple crank, only missing the brake levers, for the right fork.
Also the 1985 Miyata 710 frame would be expendable as well. Its in great condition, few nicks here and there, covered over with Testors Bright Red.

The Seven-Ten is my only fast/club bike and I cant find this fork anywhere. I would like to keep it original if i can, let me know.
