I need 3 of those for my dura ace calipers, thou I discovered just sticking any random barrel adjuster in there pretty much technically works once the cable housing is pushing down on it.

Suntour Sprint
I am looking for a pair of low-flange Suntour Sprint road hubs. 36 or 32 holes. Very good shape preferred.
I have a few things to trade:
Some Campy hubs (mismatched Nuovo Record/Nuovo Tipo set)
1984 Ofmega Crankset
120mm 3TTT stem
There might be a few other things too.
Get in touch! Thanks!

So, what miamijim states clearly is that some entity called IB owns a bunch of forums. Over there on the automobile-IB forum those notorious 'for sale' posts cause no issues. Here, under the some ownership, but with obviously a differnet set of ruling under-lords, this is a no-go? Seems like the people granted decision-making status here need to look outside BF, and maybe rethink a few things?
Perhaps IB looks at each forum as its own entity and the only way the Bike Forum turns a profit is with paid memberships? For aguements sake lets say the forum needs paid memberships for profitablity.......they cxould rearrange the membership package to give members certain benifits but also free up the FS/WTB/ISO sections.

People here weren't granted 'decision making staus'. IB let the forum operate as it was when they bought it.

May I humbly interject, my friends?
Lets abandon all this "buy and sell" chatter before we create a monster we regret. Let's keep things that work fine the way they are, and, before this all started, things were rolling nicely.
So, back to the ISO and WTB? Or should we ruin a good thing?
Just don't blurt out "cash," and let's just let things roll.

Ok, and to humor my good friend Nick(cus he makes a good point), here's a nice item:
49CM Rossin frame and fork. Columbus SL, needs new paint and chrome. No rust(thanks to our friend OA) or damage of any sort. Campy drop outs:
Wanted: Something similar about 2CM bigger, other interesting offers.

I disagree, Nick.
I don't believe there is a monster waiting in the wings that we must fear due to an expression of our opinion. The issue of cash offers in trades threads was raised by one of the Mods -- despite WTB being in the title of the thread, an indication that perhaps things were not working fine the way they were.
The mods have not said drop the issue or we will shut you down. In fact, Lotek has stated that the issue of cash and WTB/ISO/WTT threads is currently under discussion, perhaps in part to posts by members directly related to this issue.
While I agree we don't need to shout out "cash" while the issue is being discussed by the BF higher-ups, I don't believe we need to inhibit our expression on the matter.
Just my 2 bits (which in this recession is probably worth about .02 )

I was under the impression that this and other similar forums made their money by selling ad space. Surely that must account for far more income than selling $25 memberships to people who want to sell their stuff to other members. Does anyone know how many red stars there are in all of BF-land, let alone in C&V-ville and how many new red stars accrue annually?

How much ad space is being bought up on this forum? Not much to very little. Look to the left sidebar. Do you see any ads over there? Look to the header. Do you see any ads? No and no. Revenue is all about trafffic. More traffic = more revenue. To be honest I realy dont know who buys ad space here becasue I never see ads (well on occasion). But, IB wouldnt have bought the site if it wasnt making money.
The redstar bunch can be a bunch a bunch a winney brats. I'd imagine there's going to be few having hissy fits about 'I paid for privledge blah, blah, blah.
If the traffic is going elsewhere (serrota, ebay, CL) to buy and sell perhaps something needs to be done to keep the traffic here.
I disagree, Nick.

Ok, this is not really the proper forum to discuss this (haha, pun and double entendre intended!)
but yes the mods and admins are looking favorably at this issue. but please don't go screaming
it at the top of your lungs and don't push the limits here in the interim.
The original intent of the market place, specically the issue of needing to be an upgraded member was started by Joe back when he owned the forums (was that mentioned before?) it was a way for him to pay for the server space (upgraded memberships) and also a way of limiting every
shop/person/shill/spammer on the internet from posting their adverts here. Personally I prefer that, and will lobby for the upgraded membership requirement just as it currently is in The Marketplace.
thanks,
Marty

ISO a dustcap for a SunTour XC (Beartrap) pedal, black plastic with a hex-hole in the center. Also maybe the same used on the Cyclone pedals, but not sure...can trade another dustcap (I have a few styles) or something else (happy to use a different dustcap if the threading/diameter is the same).
Edit: I think a standard MKS dustcap is the same threading, so I'm going to use one of those...but if anybody comes across a black plastic replacement, I'd still take it.

Yeah, this one has a home button in the middle of the keyboard that moves the cursor to the beginning of whatever I'm typing. Once I get used to the layout, it'll be fine. It's still better than my netbook, that throws double letters randomly, etc.
