Wow, sincere thank you for pointing that out. I got excited, but yeah, looks like a slightly newer one, not Raleigh made as the seller says, and seems to be from when, well... when yeah, Huffy made their own cheap bikes. Non lugged, not even cottered crank.

But honestly, thanks a ton for pointing it out. Much appreciate the kindness with the lead!

huffy man- Not sure what type or model seeking but this 1962 chrome 3 speed has been posted for a longtime on CL-Chicago for $225.

HAVE: I still have the Brooks Pro with copper rails and rivets, as new.
WANT: A trade for a Brooks B17 with copper rivets and rails, or a Brooks springer saddle, as long as its a mens saddle we can do this.

ISO: A Suntour 6/7 speed indexed set of shifters. Rather have silver not dark anodized. DRs are Sprint 9000 but don't expect that. Would need it to be for brazen on as well.

Thanks !

I've got a 3ttt stem in 130mm that looks like it would clean up nicely. Not exactly what you're looking for, I know.

Send me a PM if interested.

I have a FC-M500 drive side with a closely matched Shimano non-drive side arm. No rings or bolts. Beater condition. Yours for the cost of postage.

My next needle in a haystack ISO:
Stronglight Ironlight NDS crankarm in 170mm. It's not even a hi-end part, but I have a bike where I think this crankset would look right.

For trade: what are you looking for?

truckface 03-27-14 09:06 AM

ISO: 650B touring wheelset. Something solid but not extravagant. 36h or 40h. Open to either freehub or freewheel.

Have:

Thanks, but I'm looking for something in relatively nice condition as the crank currently on the bike is nearly new, it's just hard for me to transition from a 180mm crank to 170mm between my bikes.

Have: Lambert Trophy approximately 1972 or 73 (pre-Viscount) 33 inch standover, 23 inch seat tube, 22 1/2 inch top tube, 27 x 1 1/4 wheels. All Lambert components with the exception of the Rear derailleur. Still has the original c-clip bottom bracket and I believe an early version of the Death Fork. Lots of stuff on the web about it so read up before PMing.

ISO: Black or Brown Brooks saddle, hopefully a Pro or something close to it in reasonable and rideable condition. PM with what you have and maybe we can do a deal. Thanks

^That sure looks like a "DEATH FORK" to me. I'd be careful to make sure it's road-worthy...

ISO - Shimano 600EX top cable feed brake lever hoods in brown. I know its getting silly for them new but if someone has decent used and kind enough to part with, I'm all ears'! I can get the new aftermarket in black only but prefer to keep the bike original. Pic of the nasty hoods >

Have: What are you looking for? I have stuff! I have a firstborn!

If nobody comes up with one by next week let me know and I'll see if I can make a copy for you. I know I have some nice aluminium rod about the right diameter, but am busy this weekend and won't be back in the shop until Mon or Tues.

Looking for:

Birmalux rims, sprint or wired (as long as they macth each other)
Gian Robert Competition Front mech
Roto front mech
Cage for Benelux front mech
Weyless (old) 26.2 post, have 27.2 to trade

many408 03-29-14 04:36 AM

Have lathe, will turn.

I have a small metal lathe and can make small parts - screws, sleeves, etcetera. I'm not a machinist so the quality is more functional than exact-copy, but some here might be happy with that if the alternative is no part at all. Tell me what you need, if I don't have one to copy I'll need a pic and critical dimensions.

I'm looking for:
Birmalux rims (sprint or wired, as long as they match)
Gian Robert Competition front mech
Roto front mech
Cage for Bimalux front mech
Nice uk-made bars and stem to suit '59 Carleton
Nice french bars to suit late 70's Gitane

<SNIP>

Thanks for the offer, but probably not worth the effort ... you can buy them on eBay for around $30, I was just trying to avoid the gouging. In the meantime, I went ahead and filed down some generic ferrules I had laying around, and used those. Since they're hidden under the hood anyhow, I am all good for the time being.

ricklp 03-29-14 03:03 PM

If this ends up as a double post some how, sorry.

I have a 36 hole wheelset that might be of interest, It consists of vintage rims (late 70's early 80's Mavic used in very good condition), brand new silver hubs (no name aluminum, sealed bearings, bolt on axles, and flip flop rear with sprocket and freewheel) and NOS stainless spokes with NOS brass nipples (15 gauge Sapim non butted Indian spokes).

Your Pinarello interests me.

Rick

Alright, here's my next ISO:
8s Uniglide spacers.
I have a nice new DA UG cassette, but without spacers. It'll be a lot easier to find spacers than to grind a HG cassette, but I'm not gonna pay an ebay seller $40+ for them when I can buy either an HG or UG cassette cheaper.

For trade: I got lots o' mess. Whatcha need?
