ISO: This might seem weird to some but I'm after an old chain.
Circa 50's / early 60's, French, Italian, English or US but absolutely no Asian. 1/2 x 3/32" or to use with a 4 / 5 speed cog.
Brampton, Wippermann, Renold, Regina, etc.

Also, not sure if Styria (Austrian) made a narrow chain, but if so wouldn't mind. For another 50's bike with front and rear derailleurs and 3 speed Cyclo cogset, I've been able to use the wider Styria.

Condition from NOS to nasty grimey, even something fairly loose. Not wanted are side plates with rust.

Trade or outright~
For trade, let me know what you might need. Have some 50-70's bits but not much of 80's+. As always, thank you and BF

ISO: 1987 Trek 1000, 52cm, silver and black, serial number 269271.

I know that's pretty specific. In short I'm looking for that bike because I happen to have bought 269270 in Kansas City, MO and 269272 in Orangevale, CA. I have it posted in the following thread but thought I'd post it here as well. ISO, after all.

Such a chain would be 1/8", would it not? And how many links do you need? Or length is fine.

Actually no. 4 and 5 speed freewheels take a 3/32 chain. Most, but not all, 3 speed freewheels take a 1/8 chain.

but for c_a, Boulder Bicycle has a Regina Extra which is indistinguishable from a 1950s chain.

Regina Black Chain 3/32 for 5sp or wide 6sp

Or if you want it from their ebay store,

(iab- thanks for the link ~) Correct on the 1/8" compatible with a 3 speed cog.

clubman- Definitely need a 3/32" for the 4 / 5 cog, though the build will use the 4 speed and no big gears. Guessing 114 to 118 link would suffice.

thanks

similar saddle for trade?

leicanthrope-

I have a used, made-in-Mexico, leather-covered Unicanitor racer-style saddle that might fit the bill. Let me know if you're interested.

Shimano 600 6207 freewheel 32 hole hub, or just the shell would be great.

Have:

Suntour Superbe FD, there's some pitting on the outside of the cage otherwise in very good condition.
Dura Ace 6 speed cassette.
Cinelle 1E stem 100mm x 26.4.

For Trade: one set of early speedplay pedals. All metal bodies they spin freely.

Want Speedplay Frogs, or a good set of modern mtb flats.

Thanks - I responded to the message. I would be interested in seeing photos of your saddle. My unicanitor is plastic and black. Appears to be from the 70s. There are some photos here - https://www.flickr.com/photos/39670213@N06/

Sealed bottom bracket or original conventional BB including splined and cups...for a 1976 Gitane 600 Mixte.

In any case, I certainly would appreciate anyone in the know, sharing the tech info of what the applicable part/s are needed if they do not have the part/s. I will pay outright or trade '70's and '80's vintage gear.
