I have a new black B-17 (but ridden and rejected) by my wife. That might work well for her, and would look cool on her Bridgestone. PM sent.

I do have a set of rather haggard cobalto brakes, one is missing the nut, the other has the nut but not the jewel... I thought about trying to find the nut for mine, but I think I'll let them disintegrate into parts so! I if you are willing to seek out some sort of replacement jewel (I have seen many people who have done so...) I do have a center nut available. Let me know.

I'll trade if you've still got it. Btw, I've already got three B67-S in that color (and two B68's!), so I know them well. The B17's are actually my favorite saddle, but I'm transitioning to a more upright position these days. My B17 is black.

Needed: one cobalto nut that has the blue jewel. didnt tighten my nut and the darn rascal fell out during a 40 mile ride. covered the route again but couldnt find that little rascal. robbie tunes-maybe? remember the derailleur bit i sent you robbie? please help a poor bike collector recover his jewel. will trade you anything!!!
I have considered taking some standard stainless cap or acorn screws to a local gunsmith and see if he can make something similar
OH btw I am looking for a blue 7 V synchro ring. this one would be for 7speed shimano. I'll try and find something to swap for it.

Ok folks, one of my builds has taken a different direction, so the DA 7400 bits I have been accumulating are up for trade.
I have:
7410 headset, NOS in box, English threads.
*7401 7-speed DT shifters, not the best condition cosmetically, but they function well. CLAIMED
7400 rear Derailleur. some road rash, but in good functional condition
7400 front derailleur, braze-on, fair condition
I'm looking for early 90's 8 speed Campagnolo Record or Chorus, particularly the Ergo levers, derailleurs, and headset. Hubs or a brakeset would be nice too, but I would prefer the previously mentioned parts if you have them. Pm me if you are interested and I can send you some photos, I'd rather not fill up the thread with enormous pictures. I have other things to trade too, just ask!

HI joe sorry to hear about that. those things are rarer than most anything else on earth. I may have one, something tells me I have an odd one but I could be wrong, but I an not sure when I will be home to look for it. but do not hold your breath.

No luck so far, so I'm going to make my easy ISO even easier.
ISO: 8 OR 9 speed shifters, downtube OR bar end, friction OR indexed (though indexed in the rear would be nice...)
Come on, somebody's got to be able to help me out...

You can overshift 7-speed indexed levers so they'll work on 8-speed cassettes/freewheels. You dont need the last gear to click because your relying on the derailleur stop to prevent to overshifting.

for thos who are not familiar and could not figure it out from DRietz posting. a Cobalto nut is the fancy blue 'jeweled' capnut on the '84-'85(?) Campi Cobalto brakes. I happen to have scrounged a pair for a set of Chorus brakes at one time

Hi Robbie I suspected you may have one, I'll have to see what I have to trade. I think others might agree but that coveted Cobalto nut is worth a truck load of those inserts.

It's a freakin' piece of plastic that's shaped to look like a jewel. Go to a good craft store and get something to glue on as a replacement.

"plastic to you" it is a diamond to me. i hate those craft store phonies that have the facets in them. i need the authentic 'smooth" finish. i demand....i plead.....i beg.....i need that jewel.
