Me too -- I joke that I like bikes from the "Cosby Show" era.

Looking for a SunTour 7 speed freewheel, 30 or 32 tooth tall gear. I have a real nice Suntour 7 speed freewheel to trade, it's a 14-28.

Found it - Thanks!

need: a rear skewer for 5-speed, 120mm drops.

it can have ugly ends (lever, nut) or no ends at all. those are easy to find.

i couldn't find the right length at the seattle co-op today.

I've tried this without success before, but I'm looking for a Suntour AG rear derailleur in good to excellent shape. The one I'm using works, but it has so many miles on it that most of the pressed-in pivot pins have a lot of slop in them, so the whole thing is kind of wobbly. I can do cash or trade goods as desired.

What's an AG, and what's the significance? I've never heard of one before. If an ARX long cage will do, pm me.

Alpine Gear. Designed for Suntour's short-lived 38-tooth freewheels.

I believe I have one, I will check this evening. Shoot me a PM and I can get some photos after work.

Alpine Gear. I had one on a bike with (I think) a 38t freewheel.

Edit: Looks like I was too slow..

Hmm, is the problem that they weren't threaded in far enough to use on a 120mm dropout? I've cut down a couple of 130mm skewers for 126mm use. Touch up the end with a bench grinder and a Magic Marker, and no one's the wiser.

yup. and this was a weird discovery in a box full of random rear skewers at a place that specializes in older stuff. since no short ones were available, does this mean that vintage 10-speed owners tend to be cheap bastards like myself? or just more skilled at shopping...

i'll go to another place this week and search some more.

Looking for the star shaped top nut for dura ace or 600 alloy headset, circa late eighties I imagine? Could have had the whole deal for ten bucks Saturday, but it was a sealed cartridge type with the same outer design. Didn't feel like chasing down old school proprietary bearings, which I imagine they probably were? I also didn't feel like paying ten bucks for a top nut. Anyway, anybody got one?,,,,BD

Looks like this.....

Hey guys, looking for a set of 6-speed Shimano SIS downtube shifters, 600's would be ideal, but anything that'll work with a SIS 6200 series RD will work. I'm sure someone's got something in the parts bin.

-- thanks all, I have a pair on their way!

Still looking for the elusive little-used Suntour AG rear. Nothing says "I'm a powerful hill climber" like that 38-tooth rear cog....

I'm pretty sure I have a pair of unmatched 6s someplace. Both are silver. The right ~might~ be a 6200 series. You wouldn't have a similar set of dt 8s you'd trade, would you?

EDIT: Unlucky.... the right is an early 6400 7 speed. The left is an S434. Both are silver.

Anyone have 1 or 2 DT 15ga spokes/nipples they don't need? Length doesn't matter, nor whether it stays straight in mailing. Just need it to make a tool for installing nipples in a wheel rebuild. Got a spoke (seems to be 15ga) at the LBS, appears to be Wheelsmith maybe, but threading is different that the DTs I have?

Have stuff to trade, just ask.

I have a pile of broken down wheels, I shall check later today and I don't think I'd really want anything for them.

I have a vintage Fisher that requires a 1 1/4 threaded headset.

Someone must have a complete headset with crown race sitting around being unused...it's a pretty unconventional part. Needs to be nothing special except work.

An Deore of some sort would be cool though.

I have a set that I just took off an '88 Schwinn Voyageur. PM me and we will work out something. They would include the little chrome plastic spacer thingies.

Hey all, I've been searching all over for a few forks. Haven't tried here yet, so here goes... 1) Motobecane LeChampion from the early to mid 70's, should be 531 2) Gitane SuperCorsa from the early to mid 70's. 3) Atala Grand Prix from the late 70's (I think) - not sure of the steel - I'm sure it's nothing too fancy Surface condition and color don't matter as they'll all be repainted eventually. Please help!

Thanks! Not sure why the spoke and nipple I had wouldn't work. And not sure if DT Swiss has there own version of threading. The spoke measured to be 15ga, same as the DTs.
