I am looking for a threaded top race for a 1" headset. The bearing cover on this Shimano is plastic and has become brittle and cracked. I'm surprised that Shimano actually made such a POS. The headset is OK except for this, so I'm trying to extend its life.
I assume the plastic cover was originally pressed on to the nut.
Never mind, I have located a replacement top race. I am good to go.

I have a 1960 Hercules that I need the arm for, 1960 is the year Raleigh bought Hercules, but based on the dropouts and more Hercules-esque parts it's a pre-Raleigh bike so I think the Sugino arm should likely work just fine. Thanks! Good information to keep in mind though, I had thought they were all the same.

ISO: Weinmann Shorty fenders for my newly acquired Holdsworth Record, like these. Let me know what you're looking for in trade.
I guess I should be looking for a Brooks B-5 (per catalog), too, or maybe a B-15 (purportedly as delivered) as shown on this one.

Does anyone have a worn-out 50-tooth Stronglight 93 chainring they'd be willing to part with? As long as the body of the ring isn't bent or damaged, the condition of the teeth doesn't matter--I'm going to have them machined off to repurpose the ring as a chainring guard/pant protector for a slightly absurd project I have in mind. In fact, the worse the teeth are, the better, since I don't want to wreck and otherwise functional ring.
I have trade goods of various kinds.

ISO: Was dreaming the box-o-crap thread might have what I need but will the dream to just that.
Want only 1 tattered, thrashed, junk torn pannier that might have a frame support intact. It's for another project to salvage a picnic pannier of unknown name. Thank you

If anyone here can use something this new, I have a Shimano 105 full-size triple crankset, 175 mm arms, takes an Octalink bottom bracket. If I'm reading the date code correctly, it's from 2003. The 30-tooth granny is in good shape, but the 52 and 42 rings are pretty shot. I'd say the crankset itself is in very good/excellent shape.
I'll be happy to send some photos to anyone who's interested--too lazy to bother otherwise.

There's a set advertised on my local CL if you really needed, I'd be glad to get them to you. Seem steep to me at 40, but I have never sought out those pedals, so no idea about FMV. PM me if interested.
