Thanks Robbie. I'd much prefer box-section rims though.

I am in search of drop bars with a 25.4mm clamp and non-aero brake levers. Something like the pictures below would be perfect.

They will be matched with Dia-Compe caliper brakes. I have similar items to trade plus other stuff, just let me know what you're looking for.

Thanks. There are a few for sale on ebay now listed as 9mmx26tpi, but I was afraid that might be a later "Campy Record". I am not a Campy expert.

Whoops! My bad: Campy "Tipo" front cones are 9mm x 26tpi for 3/16" balls; "Record" front cones are 9mm x 26tpi for 7/32" balls.

Thanks for the info. I just ordered one from an ebay seller described as for Campy Record, 9mmx26tpi, so it should be the right one.

I was able to use a pair of Shimano BL-1055 Aero Hood Covers on my BL-6401 levers. The point at the top is slightly higher, so their is an empty space about the size of an M&M there, but it's not noticeable in use. If I ever have a reason to remove and reinstall them, I'll probably stick a wadded-up cotton ball in it.

Want to Trade:

I have a Soma Hwy 1 handlebar, silver, 26.0 clamp, 42cm wide. It actually measures 43cm c-c and it seems wiiiiiiide. Maybe it's the long top section with sharp bend. Anyway, I thought I'd like the wider bar but it's too much. It's in perfect condition, only two rides on it.

Looking for the same or similar short reach, shallow drop bar in 40cm c-c. Must be silver and 26.0 clamp.

PM if you have something, I don't always check this thread.

Keep your eye on eBay. They pop up occasionally for a reasonable price. I picked one up about a year ago for $18 and it was NOS. Sprint is great stuff.

A pet peeve of mine is spending money on seatposts...

ISO-- 25.0 Seatpost for vintage french.
I need ONE for sure, but would be interested in TWO, if relatively similar since it's for a tandem. Don't need high end. I'm just hoping someone here parted out a couple of rusty old gitanes or something like that.

Have: a little bit of everything-- I am sure we could find a match.

PM if you have something and let me know what you might be looking for. Hopefully something would work out. Thanks!

Do they fit better than the BL-6403? I bought I set of the 6403 hoods and they are currently on their way here. I might just have to return them for the 1055s though.

I don't know which fits better. When I was looking, I went for the 1055 hoods after seeing them recommended on this board as a replacement. From what I see, the 6403 hoods look the same, but you won't really know if they fit till you get them and put them on. I'd say if they reasonably fit they're a keeper.

ISO: Rear axle wingnut pair to fit a Sturmey Archer IGH. I don't actually have a SA hub but a similar design. Quite sure the thread is Whitworth 13/32" - 20 tpi. Prefer steel and not a modified front wingnut having a drilled and tapped. Should have the indicator port.

To trade is an original Coloral water bottle cap and unknown make vintage stainless bottle. The Coloral cap is in great condition and still has 95% of the stopper cork intact and good. The bottle is dented up and has some scratches, sanitized and useable. The cork has a band around it to fit the incorrect bottle size opening. Good enough for the road an ideal for a 1950's ride. PM for more info or interest in something else you might need. Thanks!

^ definitely looks like first run of Klean Kanteen Bottles. I have one (got it from Velo Orange quite a few years ago now) you can tell because they don't have the little squarish impression in the bottom like they do now.

Bici,

I pulled 2 from the partsbin that match the levers you are looking for. One example has had the turkey wings removed, the newer one still have the nubs. Are you putting hoods on these ? Or are you running the turkey levers ? Cable stops will come with the levers.

Not looking for anything,PM me Congrats on finding some handlebars.

Still have the Shimano 8Speed bar end shifters (ultegra level, not dura-ace compatible) and some Shimano 600 hubs if anyone wants them.

Still looking for a 27.0mm and longish seatpost.
