Anyone have a spare three-speed freewheel? I was about to order one from Hong Kong but thought I'd ask here first. English threaded, and removable with a puller (many seem to lack that ability). Not too concerned with tooth counts. I'm converting a kids bike from single speed to geared. Thanks a lot.

yeah, i can be pretty flamboyant when it comes to putting the finishing touches on a classic build. but not as flamboyant as turquoise or lavender. others of you have bikes with beautiful paints that could actually pull these colors off without a hitch.
and actual turquoise looks brilliant when worn by a dark skinned person. there's certainly nothing wrong with that.

If anyone is looking for other colors of twine/thread other than the turquoise...let me know. I literally have thousands of colors and spools to choose from as well as TONS of velcro, buttons, snaps, and anything else you may need to repair old panniers, bags, jerseys, etc. I have TONS of items.

If you're interested in slightly less bling, I have a pair of FH-BR/HB-R-105 hubs (Golden Arrow) from about the same time-frame, they have black oil clips and not quite the pearly anodized finish, but look like about the same shell casting as those Dura Ace. 36º and 126 rear threaded for freewheel, no skewers but can find some generic ones. I have some pics if you want to see them. Happy to move them on to somebody who'd use them...I have more wheels than needed and won't be lacing up any more for a while.

Ah, no, thanks! It's not so much the bling I'm after, but I got this bike that was once all Dura Ace and it's missing most of the original parts. Okay that shouldn't be a problem but for whatever reason I can't help myself wanting to return it to it's original spec. It makes no sense to me but there it is! I even have a pair of Sunshine Pro-Am hubs that would be pretty perfect... But I'm still wanting the Dura Ace ones.

I'm looking for Blackburn floor pump head repair kit (Schraeder head side of a double head), but would consider trading for other stuff of equivalent value to this pair of hubs...they were repacked (new balls) when I stored them, and spin smoothly but shells are pretty scratchy and they ain't "show quality" appearance.

ISO: The bolts and spacers that hold the smaller chainring onto the larger chainring on an early 70's Solida three-arm cottered crankset, as found on some cheap French bikes from the boom.
These proprietary bolts have a rounded head and screw into threads on the smaller chainring. There is a spacer/washer that fits around the bolt and holds it against the larger chainring. I'll even buy an entire Solida crankset that matches if you happen to have one lying around.
Apparently the PO had removed, greased(!) and not properly torqued these as part of his most recent "tune-up", as my wife discovered when the chainring fell off during a ride.

Also,according to MOST experts: you have the cable routed wrong, should actually go under the small tab and over the smaller flat tab below that big comfortable-looking curved tab you have it in. It seems counter-intuitive but the experts insist (I just report their findings).

That's the way ^, at least the way most people will tell you is correct (a picture is worth a thousand...thanks to smontanaro for making one). You probably will have to run the cable below that braze-on nub, but again...if you have all 3 nubs you don't need to use a Campy clip, just some housing, and can keep the routing "clean".
