2) bar end shifters. Something like the vintage suntour bar ends. I have some Dura Ace 9 speed bar ends, but those seem to nice for this project.
3) aero brake levers. Something that works well but does not need to be real nice. I was actually thinking of tecktro levers since they seem to work

I have a bunch of stuff to trade-- including some nine speed ultegra stuff, sugino AT crankset, -- actually, just a bunch of stuff. Maybe I will make a list and come back here.
Does that stem size exist? All the frenchies I've seen are 22.0 x 25.0.

Most of the Suntour Freehubs I have seen have the bolt on the NDS, it will also matter if the hub is MD or not as the cassettes are different, ask me how I know .

No NDS bolt on this one. I read somewhere on the webs that as you are driving to the LBS with this wheel, you need to mentally prepare yourself to buy a new one. Its a shame to because this is the first vintage touring i have found with a good wheelset.

ISO: QR axle (i.e. hollow) for Sanshin 5-sp rear hub.

I want to convert it from nutted axle to QR. I assume the bearing cones will fit a "standard" Suntour or Shimano axle. If I'm mistaken, please tell me...
Also matching skewer if available.

Have to trade: A few assorted items, e.g. Mavic skewer (don't recall length), Simplex skewer (no acorn, don't recall length), chainstay cable housing brackets, other stuff.

Worms? What worms? Oh, you mean the ones in the can.

So if the axle comes with cones, then I need to worry only if the surface radius is correct. I wonder if I have a Campy axle and cones which would do...

Sounds like a trip to the LBS with an axle nut in hand is in order. Get the right diameter, pitch, and length and you're golden.

Yeah, I was just hoping to avoid YATTTLBS (Yet Another Trip To The LBS). Anyway, I started cleaning up the wheels this evening and discovered that the hub is actually 126mm, and the frame measures a bit over, perhaps 127 or 128. But it had a 5-speed FW when I got it. So I stuck a 6 FW on it, put it in the frame, and it lo! it fit nicely. I believe I have a 6-speed skewer, and may even have an axle.

Oh well, you can build up a bike without breaking eggs.

Does anyone have an old Weinmann 810 brake caliper just laying around? I really only need a small piece, but I'd just as soon get the whole thing. It doesn't necessarily HAVE to be that type, but I figure why not keep it all original, it's a schwinn collegiate 5 speed. I can't send pm's yet, but I will be watching this thread

Hubs and rims and rims and hubs and....

HAVE: A very nice pair of polished Araya semi-aero 1W 700c rims, 36 hole. And a very nice pair of Shimano 600 (6207/6208) polished hubs, freewheel, 32 hole, recently cleaned and serviced with Phil grease.

WANT: to build a set of wheels using either your 36 hole hubs of similar quality/value swapped for my 600 hubs, OR your 32 hole rims of similar quality/value swapped for my Araya's.

Have Dura Ace 7402 eight speed RD with VERY low miles. Everything is super tight. Known history, mileage is under 3000 miles.
Want DA or Ultegra 9 speed RD in similar condition.

Have Sachs NOS 12-24 eight speed freewheel. 5.0 spacing (Campy 8)
Same as above in VGC
Want Shimano 13-25 or 14-25 nine speed cassette is similar condition.

I've got a pair of nice black anodized Campy Omega 19 rims, 32H.

Looking for a very nice condition (excellent to NOS) Suntour ultra-7, with a large cog anywhere from 23-28T.

I have a set of Shimano (IIRC) 8s bar ends I pulled off a bike and never used. The seller said the bike all worked fine, though. Let me think on what I need.

ISO: Fixed/flip-flop hub 110mm - cottered crank

I'm looking for a fixed gear or flip/flop rear hub in a 110mm width. Bonus points for high flange. I'd also consider a wheel set with 27" rims.

I'd also like to find a cottered crank with a 42t...Williams, BSA, similar.

I've a pretty fair stock of trade bait. PM me, let's talk.

I know what I need the most - a real nice 36h rear Victory hub w/skewer to go with the set of NOS Victory Crono rims I've come across. (I have a front hub)
