Not sure if he has one.

At the end of the day, I think what would make him most happy is something closest in spirit to the original PX10 wheelset, but with clincher rims.

Has he considered reusing the original hubs and replacing the rims with clinchers? That may or may not be more cost effective than a replacement wheelset, though.

I think you're more realistic than the seller. That bike is worth maybe half that amount.

Hold out for something in the $250 range. They come up every now and then for that, complete.

I have a 1992 Cannondale Delta V1000 and recently cracked one of the welds on the aluminum rear swingarm. Still enjoy my "vintage" bike and want to fix it. Does anyone have a used swingarm for sale? Or, a line on who would have one available?

Would you trust having the crack welded if I cannot locate a used replacement part?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks Tom. I do make liberal use of those (with and without quotes, depending on the search) but find that the word "raleigh" returns a lot of false positives (e.g., I get a lot of results for a different Raleigh- the one in North Carolina). Makes it much harder to search for something than, say, "Guerciotti", or "Ciocc".

Yes, some searches are just not feasible. I wanted a Raleigh International for a while. Forget that!

Maybe if you add keywords to your search, it will work, such as TA, Huret, Campagnolo.

You'll also find things like this: Raleigh 56cm Competition Vintage Road Bike Bicycle Dura Ace Shimano 600* | eBay

This is a 1973 or 1974 Raleigh Competition repainted and "updated" to look like a 1980s version. The lugs are Carlton Capella, and those were long out of use in the 1980s. The price is on the high side for my taste, but I'm a cheapskate. It also looks smaller than a 56cm, but I don't ride a 56, so I'm not used to that size.

That's right, @nlerner. After I acquired that International, I stopped wanting one, which is why I put it in the past tense.

Therefore, your search was "feasible" and "forget that!" refers to what?

From looking at the PDF on the Cateye site, I'm gonna say not. Pretty sure the Vectra is a much newer computer. Think I'm going with one from Nashbar that ticks all the boxes, get good reviews and comes within budget. Thanks for the reply!

Oh, OK. I meant that using "Raleigh International" as search terms just isn't satisfying for a cyclephile. You get word of international conferences occurring in Raleigh, NC, and stuff like that.

Exactly. Your suggestion of including search words like "campagnolo" was good, though. I might have to try that!
