In search of #4 from the picture below. Have many things to trade depending on your wants. Have a set of Campy friction DT shifters, as most likely trade.

Looking for:

1" threaded MTB headset, preferably something like a mid-higher end Tange/Shimano, black cups would be ideal, in good cosmetic (not necessarily perfect) condition.

Have:
Lots of stuff, mostly Japanese. Some Sugino/Shimano cranks and parts, Suntour parts, etc.

Pannier Swap?

I have:
1 pair Vintage Cannondale large black rear panniers, Excellent condition
1 pair Vintage C-dale front black panniers (solid condition, though VERY faded)
1 pair Arkel T-28 black panniers, Excellent condition
2 c-dale handlebar bags, red (good) black (average)
1 c-dale under saddle bag (good)

I am looking for:
1 pair FRONT Lone Peak panniers in black (preferably the larger, the better-- but I know this might be a very specific request)
or
1 full set of front and back of any other high quality pannier, vintage/color not important (like lone peak, jandd, etc…)

Aside from the panniers, I don't have a ton of need right now, so not sure about other swap options.

They're almost 25 years old. How old does it have to be to quality as vintage? Philosophically speaking of course

We have many purists in the group, as you well know. Just humor them and go on about your business.

to be fair, if someone says dual pivot they are referring to side pull dual pivot calipers which came in around what? 1989? 1990?, but technically speaking a center pull brake is a dual pivot caliper.

No. Really, when people talk about "dual pivot calipers" they are only referring to the recent ones. There are lots of earlier caliper brakes that have two pivot points, but there are different terms for them, including "center-pull." Altenburger Synchron brakes are more like center pull brakes than modern dual pivots; we just pull them out every now and then to show that nothing is really new (I'm not criticizing Ex Pres here; I've done it myself).

All I'm after when I refer to dual pivot is the mechanical advantage.

Just realized I wouldn't feel right trading my Technomic with anyone. It's been cut to shorten the stem....just needed it for the reach. I do, however, have a rather pristine Nitto Young with 100mm reach. Installed once and then promptly removed.

I just acquired a non-original Motobecane Le Champion. I'm not looking to return it to original specification, but I would like to at least give it a period-correct groupset. Mid-level Sugino, Suntour, Campagnolo, Stronglight, etc. is ok- this is very much going to be a rider, so I'm not looking to do a high-end restoration. If you have something that fits this bill and that you know is compatible with the bike, please let me know as I would love to discuss. Thanks in advance.
