ISO: Shimano Tricolor FD (double) and RD (8s 6401). 8s Barcons would be a plus.

WTT: '79+/- Raleigh Super Grand Prix. Paint is in rough shape, so willing to part out all the Raleigh labeled bits.

Also have a '72 +/- Centurion Le Mans in similar shape - rough paint, so willing to part out.

PM sent. I have a Tricolor 600 front, and 6400 RD if that would work for you.

WTT: my low-miles Surly 49T/130BCD Stainless Steel chainring for the same specs in silver aluminum, straight across. Preferably Shimano, but might be interested in other brands as long as they're NOS/low miles and classic-styled. Pins would be okay.

(This might be a dumb trade, since this ring would potentially last a lot longer, but the looks bug me too much to use it. Thanks!)

Whew! How about the fact that I'm looking for a 49T, when I have perfectly good 48T and 50T rings on the shelf?

But why would you use a 48T or a 50T when you need a 49T? That's just obvious.

WTT: This is a long shot I know. Bought a bike for the frame (Italian so will be Campy) and it came with a NOS Suntour Superbe 8 speed 130mm Groupset that was builtup and hung on the wall! I don't think it was even tuned. No usage marks on anything, rims, brake pads, chain wheel, cassette. The hoods are dry and I suspect may need to be replaced soon. Has original factory grease visible, the cassette still has the bright yellow factory Suntour sticker on the large cog and an interesting lined rear brake cable that fits nicely in the housing. Chain is not in this photo but is also included. Handling marks are all there is and they are absolute minimum. Looking for the right Campy trade.

Also have same (but used) in HG with narrow spline widened to fit on UG freehub.
6s spacers.
There was a time, not so long ago, that I had nothing but ug; can't find a single one now. Only freewheels. I can't believe they've all moved on, so I'll keep searching.

I personally love the look of UG cogs - tooth symmetry is very appealing. The varied teeth and ramps of HG just isn't as aesthetically pleasing to my eye. My UG shifts just fine (said the curmudgeon).

ISO Dura Ace 7400-7403 braze-on FD in nice shape.

Or maybe a late 80s/early 90s braze-on Campy Athena/Chorus/Record? Matching up with DA crankset...but the rest is Chorus/Record 8sp.

Tinkering, and need to try a different braze-on FD...the tricolor on there crowds the back wheel too much. Tight bike!

Have lots of trade goods: mostly the better Shimano and Suntour road stuff; also lots of stems, chainrings, etc.

See earlier ISO (for a single Mavic brake caliper) for partial listing of trade stuff...but I have lots more, or we can talk:

On the trading block:

- numerous quill stems, 3T (Record?: 25.4, 120mm), Cinelli (1A: 26.4, 70mm and 110mm), ITM Eclypse riser steel/chromed (25.4, 110mm), etc...

- chainrings: 9sp Campagnolo (Chorus?) NOS 52t, NOS First Gen Dura Ace (various counts, 130bcd), NOS Stronglight 107 51t 144bcd, various used rings...
- lots more, just ask...
i think i might have a matchy mavic brake for you... i'll look more closely when i get home... i think its a rear (but you might be able to give it a sex change) but i know its missing pieces and is in rough shape...

Thanks for the offer, but if it's real rough and missing pieces...I think I'll pass. The one I have is pretty mint, which is why I feel motivated to find a match if possible.

ISO: Pipe-type seatpost, 26.0. Cosmetics not important. Aluminum preferred but steel would be okay, too.

HAVE: Stuff, especially lots of utilitarian derailleurs, front and rear.

i'd like to trade only the gt (long) cage of this suntour cyclone for a short (regular) cage -- just the cage, nothing else. i haven't polished it at all, but could do a little of that if wished. the way this trade would work is usps tracking both ways, but i would need to wait for receipt before sending mine. not that i've ever had a problem with any bf trade. it's just too important to me for this build. if some security is needed, or you need another item for your short cage, we can work out something. please use email. thanks!

Need a tandem-suitable front wheel. 700c. A good hybrid wheel would probably be fine. I already have the 145mm rear, which is the tricky part.

I don't have a wheel to offer, just a suggestion. My sweetie and I have ridden our tandem, an '82 Peugeot TH8, for 6000 miles since I built it about 4 years ago. For the front wheel I found one built by an LBS for someone but never paid for, never picked up. So they sold it to me fairly cheap though not at a give-away price. It was built to be a touring wheel with a Mavic A319 rim and IIRC a Shimano 105 hub, only 32 spokes. Neiher of us are especially heavy though we have done several short tours where we loaded the bike to 100-105lbs. The tires are Pasela TG 700c x 32mm. That wheel has been just great. The point being, you don't necessarily have to have a built-for-tandems wheel, especially on the front. YMMV.

As we found it it had the original Atom hub with drum brake and a Matrix rim, 36 spokes. IIRC, Peugeot bumped the spoke count to 40 in '83, but don't bet your fortune on that. The rim carried a sticker from a bike shop on Martha's Vineyard so presumably that's who restrung the hub on a new rim. After about 2000 miles it broke a spoke. After another 500 miles another spoke broke and I noticed that the rim was starting to show longitudinal cracks. So I rebuilt it with another A319. So now the two wheels are the same rim, 32 front, 36 rear.
