ISO: Mavic crank arm dust caps. I'm not even sure if they even made something like that. I assume they did

Yes they did and this is what they looked like on the "starfish" cranks (thanks Velobase)
VeloBase.com - Component: Mavic 631
I MIGHT have one or even a pair...if I find anything are you thinking "trade" and if so what?

Would they use the same one on different crank arms. I've got the 630 narrow font

I have a pair of Shimano Exage cantilever brakes with all springs and fittings (except the mounting bolts but any 6mm should work), plus no pix yet but also the matching brake lever/thumb shifter pairs (7speed) that go with them.
These are black plastic over a steel "skeleton" and have one advantage that they take a bolt-on type brake pad (same as a V-brake) so are easier to set up than typical cantis with a stud-type pad. Also don't stick out much compared to some so less interference. The levers/shifters seem in good working order but everything has a bit of scratching on the plastic and some light white paint speckling on some bits (might clean off).
Looking for a pair of "upright" alloy "tourist" handlebars in a shape similar to Nitto Promenade or VO Left Bank or Montmartre, brand not important but should be sliver and 25.4 clamp diameter, 26 might work.

don't know about that particular crank but Velobase shows a plain cap with hex-hole for the 635 crank and I'd guess that's the one used with the 630 so not the style that i have AFAIK...but I'll look anyway.
Chombi or Chas might know for sure about the Mavic cap in question...

Thanks but I think I've got options. I installed a VGT Luxe today and it worked fine with one minor issue. It wouldn't shift to the small cog because the outer cage plate would hit the derailleur body. However a washer between the DO and the knuckle took care of it.

I need a bearing cone for a 7400 Dura Ace front hub. Just one. Would buy basket case hub if needed to get the cone. Hoping to buy from someone legit rather than throwing money on the eBay roulette crap shoot.

Stronglight 49D/ mod 93

I have ended up with a mixed crankset, 49D DS & 93 NDS, both 170mm and I was told French threaded (or at least they are until I hit them with a tap).
Anyone out there that would like to swap one side or the other? (I'd prefer to end up with a matched set 49D, but not married to it).

Standard pair of brake calipers for said Raleigh Superbe/Sports. I have a women's model and need the calipers that mount with the cable housing coming from the bottom.
Not sure about the insertion, i'll check tonight.
cheers, Eric

OEM head set

Francophile- I have an OEM headset that may fit the bill, sans bearing race and a top parts or two. It came from a circa 1984 Peugeot P-18C mixte.

Let me know if this will work for you. A photo of the headset is posted below your two samples pics.

I have a full '74 and '78 headset I could use but it looks really clunky, the top nut is way different, the 70's headsets feel noticeably heavier. It's possible any French-threaded headset could work if they have a tabbed lockring instead of on with a flat. I'm specifically looking for this. Only for reference, this is the difference in the headset stack on a 74 vs 84 Peugeot, the '74 is talle, fatter, not as svelte (honestly, I don't even like the expensive Competition headsets):

Looks like everything but the top screw-on race to me, any chance you can source that? I'd take it!

Are you looking for anything in trade? I have a ton of stuff, but mostly french. For example, I picked up some niiiiice NOS Christophe leather pedal straps, some in white, some tan, and some black if I remember correctly.

Francophile-

I'll have another look in the parts box tomorrow and see if I still have it. If not, do you still want the remaining set?

If so, and for trade, I'd be interested in the black and white leather straps.

Thanks for checking - If it's not complete, I'm really on the fence; still feeling pretty burnt about getting an incomplete headset and no cups with this frame.

I picked up this mostly complete headset up for $29 shipped today and I'm stopping by the coop tonight to dig bins, they only charge $5/headset, hoping I'll get lucky. If the B. Hinault I picked up today ends up being French, I may upgrade my PGN10 and swap its headset to the PH10L.

The Christophe toe straps usually sell for $20-$35/pair shipped; I have two brand new pairs of white, two pairs of black, one pair of tan. I have a bunch of other misc stuff, so so if there's anything else you're short on at the moment, LMK, I may have other stuff to trade.

Valve Core for removable (red) Vittoria Corsa Evo CX.

Tire is brand new. Seriously, I barely tapped it while mounting the tire, and there is the tip lying on the floor. i Thought it must have been unthreaded prior to insertion, but no it's sheared right off. Grrrrr. Anyone have an extra core for these lying around ? Feel like an idiot getting bagged on eBay, buying a set of stems just for the one little bit. Better off buying another tire, and saving the core. But I hope there are lots of these lying around.

Never used these tires before or I would have one lying around.

I have lots of OTHER random tiny parts, mostly campy NR, SR.

Thanks, Eric

Are you looking for the internal valve core assembly? I think I have one of those. It isn't red, but it should work. PM me

peugeot headset

francophile-

I looked today and didn't find the upper bearing for the headset, but I will keep looking.

Sounds like you got a good deal on the Hinault headset. You also have a "plan B," which hopefully will let you upgrade the PGN-10 and take care of the PH10L.

BTW, I am looking for a pair of model 23 Lyotard Berthet (platform) pedals.

Sorry I couldn't help you on this one. Good luck!
