Looking to complete a 650b conversion?

I am. Wish I could help you. I would be interested in a set of Shimano dual pivot, long reach (47-57mm) calipers - tricolor would be ideal.

I have a decent set of RX100 dual pivots to offer or Tricolor dual pivots for the ideal trade (short reach).

I am vainly in search of a rare beast:

A single sided, clamp on Campagnolo cable stop for a 28.6mm downtube.

These existed, as far as I know, many years ago for the use of a single bar end shifter.

I would love to have one - please let me know if you have one not being used.

Stupid question; how does one tell the reach? I have a pair of tri color dual pivots in the garage.

Not a stupid question. Two ways: stamped on the back side of the lever (something like 39-49mm) or (if not stamped) measure from the center of the mounting bolt to the top and bottom of the caliper arms' slots.

ISO: space in my dungeon

Trade for above: Two F/F sets

1. Late 70s Araya Competition mixte. 19.5" seat tube. Red paint needs lots of touch up. Frame tubes are Araya, fork is 1/2 chromed Tange w/ cast drop outs. Rear drops are formed sheet w/o der hanger, spaced 126mm. I think fork has narrow spaced drops too, maybe 96mm? Lugs are ornate looking. Had 27s originally.

2. Genuine made in America Huffy Carrera F/F. 21" It's a typical OPC frame. Was a ten speed with 650A wheels. Build yourself a klunker.

Nothing needed in trade. I just want to see if someone will take these before I head to the recycle bin with them. They are in Seattle area right now but I can schlep them to Portland free of charge.

But then I'm in Mexico. I'd hate to think about what I might have if I had the access you folks have.

Scratch that - I actually measured and I need at least 65mm of reach for my conversion. I had no idea that center pulls were so long (should have measured first).

I now also have a set of Bridgestone side pulls (45-55mm reach) to trade.

On a side note, I don't know if I can trust myself to put anything in the Box 'O Crap anymore, the center pulls I need for this conversion went in there (damn Murphy's Law).

Pauls thumbies for bar ends

Bought some Pauls thumbies at a swapmeet with the Shimano shifters. Labelled 8 and 9. Decided to use drops instead of upright bars. Bench testing the shifters, the rear shifter throw is not consistent click to click. So could be buggered internally.
Want some barend shifters. Nice Suntour would be good.

Still looking for a Wolber GTX (odd green/grey coloring), or a Mavic Open Sport. 700c, 32 hole. Have a small stash of various Suntour bits for trade.

An S3C would be ok too, but I don't know if they made very many in a 40 hole shell. I know the TCW series had some 40 hole shells. I am rebuilding a 1946 Hercules that has only a single front rod brake and needs a rear coaster, and have a 40 hole Westwood Dunlop rim for it

They're 9 speed shifters that will also work with 8 speed Dura-ace only. Those people have confused 1000s of people. I have seen bike shops sell bikes set up with 8 speed systems and those shifters, what a headache.

You might also consider an AB hub, or whatever they call the one the wide range drum brake hub (not that I have one, though).

I checked my stash, but only have two different 36-hole coaster brake hubs. One is a New Departure single speed. The other a funky SunTour model.

I have two SA coaster brake 3 speed wheels. One is aa TCW, but It might be only 36 holes. The other is on a Huffy branded Nottingham/Raleigh Industries 3 speed that is probably 40 spoke holes. I'll check and get back to you.
you might be able to use the guts of one fitted into the shell of the other....
