I've got a little Pug with a stripped pedal thread in the right crank arm. I might be able to Heli-coli it, but just in case, it's nice to have options.

I know, no real offense taken. I'm sorry to hear about your stripped thread, things like that make me quite sad. I reccomend you try to fix it, though, the more old parts we still have funtioning in the world, the better.

I need top tube brake housing clamps that affix the cable to the side of top tube, not the top, as is infinitely more common. In these clamps, the groove for the cable is 90 degrees from the clamp nut/bolt, rather than 180 degrees in the type that is much more common.
Stuff to trade, including money.

Fixing it might be tough as all the threads were pulled out, thus enlarging the hole quite a bit. I am however, cautiously optimistic.

Helicoil will work even if all the threads are gone and the end result will probably be stronger than the original threads.

Hey... I don't have Paypal, but if someone picks this up for me I can reimburse them, that'd be pretty sweet. You know, a favor from one BF friend to another:

Thanks!
Also, looking for Peugeot branded derailleurs, like this:

(Cyclotoine, I think this is your picture, sorry for using it)
or
... I think you get the idea.

You can get the Simplex derailleurs from here:
https://www.velo-orange.com/deandsh.html
All three types are in stock. And the price is hard to beat.

thing is, I don't think Heli-coil® ever made one with the standard 9/16 x 20tpi pedal thread (it's not the standard coarse or fine thread for 9/16", but is bicycle-specific) however there ARE solid pedal INSERTS made (and in both RH and LH thread) that function like a coil insert...they just cost about 10X what a Heli does

They are not exact matches for the ones he provided pictures for, but they are French and would look nice on that Mixte he is fixing up.

Machin Shin, thank you for the link, Velo-Orange already gets plenty of my business.
But I'm being quite picky about this build, and am hell-bent on getting pugeot-branded parts for it. (Besides, those are simplex deraileurs from later in peugeot's time, I don't like their styling...)
What's the Frenchie you're workin' on, btw? PM me 'bout it...
Anyway. Peugeot-branded deraileurs, those'd be sweet, fellas.
I toyed with the idea of restoring it with NOS Simplex prestiege ones (think black plastic with red highlights) but those are, even NOS, pretty crampy from all I've heard.
So branded stuff is my current quest.

i have 2 vintage frames/bikes that i need to move along. i'd be interested in hearing what people have to offer for them. i need a wheelset and other interesting offers.
first is what i believe to be a vitus frame.
super vitus drop outs seat tube cc-54 cm
seat tube ct-55,5
top tube cc-55
rear space-130mm
frame weight 2,24kg
27.2 seatpost, english thread BB
second is a '78 or '79 Serotta Titan. this is built up as a complete bike right now, with
dura ace rear derailleur, not sure which model but works with 9 speed
ultegra 9 speed front der
dura ace 9 speed cassette
dura ace 9 speed DT shifters
ultegra 9 speed Brakeset
brand new shimano 105 level wheelset
Chris King GripNut threaded headset
campy brake levers
cinelli criterium bars, 26.0
dura ace BB
Mavic Starfish Cranks
1in threaded nashbar carbon fork or threaded serotta aluminum fork, purple
3ttt stem, 110mm 26.0 Seat tube is 56 c-c and the top tube is 55.5 c-c
it has a lot of paint damage and 2 dime sized dents, one minor one right above the s in serotta on the seattube and a deeper one on the backside of the headtube. frame checks out as a-ok to ride, no problems.

Looking for some brake calipers and levers to put on a 85 Trek 670.
The bike originally had a mix of Italian and Japanese parts but anything that works and looks decent would do.
Japanese maybe?

I need both axle nuts and indicator rod/chain for a Fichtel & Sachs "Torpedo" Dreigang three-speed hub. I have a hub and a shifter but I need the cable and all the other parts that connect the shifter to the hub (except the bicycle; I have that).
I believe it dates to the 60's - 70's and the new Spectro parts will not fit. The parts resemble Sturmey Archer parts as far as I know, but the threads are different (of course).
Any leads appreciated!

Have:
Two NR FD/RD sets (Pat.78 and Pat.73),
Simplex SLJ RD badged with the Motobecane "M" and an SJA102 FD presumably from the same bike,
NOS Campagnolo Super Record brake lever w/o hood,
NOS Campagnolo Nuovo Record brake levers w/NOS hoods (one torn at top), Guerciotti pantographed,
Nice Bluemels fenders w/o hardware,
NOS Suntour Sprint 9000 RD, NOS Sprint 9000 front brake caliper,
Some Campagnolo Triomphe brake calipers missing parts,
Some Nuovo Record calipers which have been unfortunately slotted deeper the original for some nut who had to have 700C's as opposed to 27"s - post CPSC (both presently mounted on nutted rear drop bolts - can cannibalize the Triomphes to make these standard recessed mount),
Two nutted Campagnolo (IIRC, marked Brev. Campagnolo) drop bolts as mentioned are on the calipers above.
Campag NR Italian headset - no bearings, post-<C> variant w/wrench marks on locknut,
NOS Sachs 7-speed freewheel (I think it's a 13 or 14-26 or something to that extent),
NOS Sturmey-Archer 5-speed S5-hub top tube shifters,
Some rider quality Campagnolo Veloce and Athena,
NOS Cinelli XA stem - 26.0 clamp, 140mm IIRC,
Nitto 140mm (IIRC) stem - Cinelli 1A copy - near mint,
Rider quality low-flange Campagnolo Record hubs 36h,
Some late-'50s/early '60s Sturmey 3-speed shifters,
Suntour Cyclone GT first-gen RD,
Nicked Shimano Crane RD,
Want:
Campagnolo Super Record RD (and if you have an FD, I might be interested as well).

For reasons of nostalgia, I would like to buy a Raleigh Pro from the 70's. Preferably the ugly brown color. I need a 56-57cm. If you know of one for sale, please contact me. choburger@gmail.com Thanks.
